It was a busy weekend for Tony Romo.
Later in the evening, Romo was seen soaking up the atmosphere of Game 6 of the NBA Playoffs between the Mavericks and Thunder. What did he do before that? He worked on the game of golf with notable people.
Former President Donald Trump revealed on Saturday that he spent time playing golf with the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback. A video on Twitter/X shows President Trump going for a drive on a golf course in Dallas.
Republican presidential candidate Trump was in North Texas to speak at the National Rifle Association convention.
“I played golf today with a really good golfer, Tony Romo. Do you know Tony Romo?” Trump said. “He might be a better golfer than a football player. I don't know.”
After retiring from the NFL, Romo competed in various golf tournaments. One of his most recent competitions is his Invited Celebrity Classic held at Las Colinas Country Club.
Romo has worked as an NFL analyst for CBS since 2017. He was the lead analyst for the station's coverage of Super Bowl LIV in February.
“This is probably my favorite time of my life,” he said.
