Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tony Hutson dies According to reports.
He is 49 years old. His cause of death has not been disclosed.
Hutson actually passed away earlier this month, according to former Cowboys linebacker Randall Godfrey. The person posted about the death on Facebook.
“Last night we lost one of my favorite teammates and great friends, Tony Hutson,” Godfrey wrote. “Please keep the Hutson family in your prayers. The 1996 Dallas Cowboys rookies had a special bond. He traveled to Valdosta several times to help with my annual football camp. . I cherished every moment he made me cry after we laughed so hard. He is one of my fishing buddies and more. I knew we would connect right away. With this, we You caught me by surprise. Rest well, little brother. You're gone too soon.”
Hutson was a two-time NAIA All-American, but went undrafted after the Raiders reportedly discovered a benign tumor in his lung during the draft process. He signed with the Cowboys in 1996 and remained with the team through the 1999 season. In fact, he started two games during his final season in Dallas.
He then spent a season with Washington and played for the Raiders in 2001 before finishing his career.
