Farmers with at least five years of experience are invited to participate in a two-hour virtual workshop focused on how personal financial values impact business planning.
The UMaine Extension event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The “Communication about personal money values'' workshop will introduce farmers to a variety of finance-related topics. Topics include personal finances, financial resources, and how a farmer's personal values influence future planning. This workshop is designed to empower the farming community and drive agricultural growth across Maine.
Led by farm coach and Apple Creek farmer Abby Sadaukas and business advisor and farm coach Sylvie Boisvert, this workshop will help participants explore personal time management and priorities, and learn about financial decision-making. Hearing from other farmers and discussing personal and business values are also encouraged. Provides an opportunity to speak with other participants.
Further farm coaching and credit counseling options are also available for ongoing support.
Sponsored by a grant from Northeast Risk Management Education, this workshop is free. Registration required.
