FORT COLLINS — Looking forward, The Group, Inc. Real Estate will be closing one of its offices as several sales professionals wish to work remotely.
The group launched a mobile brokerage model to accommodate 29 sales professionals who chose to work remotely. As a result, the company will need less office space and will close its 40-year-old office on Horsetooth Road.
The 375 E. Horsetooth office was the group's second office, built in 1983. It provided office space for 18 sales partners and had 12,750 square feet of space. It is scheduled to be released in the spring.
“This location used to be on the south end of Fort Collins, but obviously that's not the case anymore,” said Brandon Wells, the group's president and CEO.
“The mobile agent model allows us to consolidate our office space in Fort Collins. We are relocating to expand our presence in Weld County and other growing communities east and south of our traditional service area. We will continue to invest,” he said.
The group's footprint on the south side of Fort Collins will be supported by the Harmony Road office, which opened in 1999. The new Timnath office, which opened in 2022, serves the rapidly growing communities of eastern Larimer County and western Weld County.
The Group co-founder Larry Kendall said the move builds on The Group's continuing philosophy. “Success comes to those who fight the inevitable. We knew there was a lot of housing development going on south of Horsetooth Road, and that was our motivation for opening the Horsetooth office in the first place. In fact, the bank We had a hard time getting financing for this building because we thought it was too far from town.”
Kendall said the group heard the same skepticism when it decided to build on Harmony Road. “At that time, there was nothing on Harmony Road but Hewlett-Packard. We were in a cornfield.” Even the Fort Collins Post Office initially refused to deliver mail to the new building. he said. Today, Horsetooth Road is considered Fort Collins' “midtown,” and approximately 40,000 cars per day pass through the group's Harmony Road office, compared to his 26,000 cars passing through the Horsetooth location. Only.
“Our Group has always been a leader and wants to rise to the inevitable. With the trend towards a more mobile and remote workforce, we realized that we don't need as many tools. “The Timnath office has been built with the modern, highly mobile real estate agent in mind and will be the model the group will use as it expands,” Kendall said.
The group also maintains other offices, including one in Fort Collins, two in Loveland and one in Steamboat Springs.
