People heading to downtown Dallas on Monday afternoon, the day of the total solar eclipse, may experience temporary “rolling” road closures on major highways, police said.
Dallas police said in a social media post that freeway exits heading into downtown will be subject to “rolling” closures from approximately 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Police said motorists leaving downtown were not affected and exits leaving the area remained open.
According to a map provided by the Dallas Police Department, the road closures surround the downtown area and include Interstate 35E, Interstate 30, Interstate 345 and the Woodall-Rogers connection to Route 75.・This will affect sections of the freeway.
