In this podcast, Hill Country resident Tom Fox visits the people and organizations that make this region one of the most unique in Texas. This week, Tom visits Debbie Zabica, executive director of the Hill Country Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Debbie Zabica is the accomplished executive director of the Hill Country Chapter of the American Red Cross and has an extensive background in nonprofit and disaster preparedness efforts. Zabika's perspective on disaster preparedness for the American Red Cross reflects her dedication to educating and preparing communities, especially within the Hill Country region, for potential disasters such as house fires. I feel strongly about it.
Her focus is on ensuring individuals have the supplies and knowledge needed to respond to emergencies, whether it's a winter storm or a summer heat wave. She highlights the important role of the Red Cross in providing immediate support and assistance to communities after disasters, such as setting up shelters and providing medical services. Based on her experience leading her team of volunteers in 19 counties, Zabika's perspective emphasizes the importance of being proactive in disaster preparedness and the importance of the Red Cross to assist and assist individuals in times of crisis. We emphasize our efforts.
