Shows transferred from Google Podcasts don't exist on YouTube's servers. That's why you'll see a small RSS badge on the side.
This easy export feature may be one of the benefits of choosing YouTube Music. However, this tool is not available to everyone.
If you don't see an export option in the Google Podcasts app, use the Google Takeouts method described below.
2. How to migrate Google Podcasts subscriptions using OPML import
Some podcast apps support direct import and export of OPML files, so you can download and transfer your subscription data to another app. Good examples of these apps include:
This process begins by downloading the OPML file from Google Podcasts and importing it into your new app.

- Find. Importing OPML Features (usually found in settings or sidebar menu).
- Navigate to and select the OPML file you exported from Google Podcasts.
- The new podcast app will parse your OPML file and import all your subscriptions from Google Podcasts.
3. How to transfer your Google Podcasts subscription to Spotify
There is no official way to export podcast subscriptions from Google Podcasts to Spotify. Spotify also doesn't have native functionality for importing OPML files.
However, you can use a third-party tool called Pod Importer to transfer your subscriptions from Google Podcasts to Spotify.
Once you've downloaded your Google Podcasts subscription data using the built-in app export tool or Google Takeout, go to Pod Importer to transfer everything to Spotify.
- Go to the Pod Importer website and tap . Sign in with Spotify Connect to your Spotify account.
- Tap agree Grant permissions to Pod Importer.

- Pod Importer parses your OPML file and displays all the Google Podcast shows it contains. You can go to and check the box next to subscribe For each podcast you want to transfer to your Spotify library.Or just tap select all Migrate your entire Google Podcasts library in one batch.
- Finally tap Import shows to Spotify Migrate selected podcasts to your Spotify library.
In some cases, there may be a slight mismatch between Google Podcasts and Spotify podcast names. If so, please check the box next to the marked podcast. Inexact match Skip certain podcast transfers. This will ensure that only correctly matched podcasts are imported into your Spotify account.
4. You can also manually add Google Podcasts to Apple Podcasts and other podcast platforms
If your target podcast platform doesn't have OPML import capabilities, such as Apple Podcasts, you may need to search and resubscribe each podcast one by one. This can be time-consuming and tedious, especially if you have a large number of podcasts.
However, most podcasts syndicate their content via RSS feed URLs. So if you can get a direct RSS feed link for a show, you can subscribe by simply pasting this URL without having to search.
RSS URLs are fast, but not easily accessible by all podcast producers.
To import a podcast RSS feed into Apple Podcasts:
- Open the Apple Podcasts app.
- Tap library In the bottom menu bar, tap Follow the show by URL.
- Paste and tap the RSS feed link. to follow subscribe.
This isn't the easiest method, but it may be necessary if your podcast platform doesn't support other methods.
We recommend transferring your Google Podcasts subscriptions as soon as possible. OPML files containing subscriptions are convenient for supported podcast apps and can be imported in bulk. If your new podcast app doesn't have that option, be prepared to add it manually.
