conclusion
Every game will be important for the Mavs, who are barely clinging to a playoff spot in the Western Conference standings as the season draws to a close. If they lose, they could be dropped to the play-in tournament. The Mavs, whose seven-game winning streak was snapped by the Warriors on Tuesday, need two more wins to stay afloat and maintain a slim chance of earning a top-four seed.
The Hawks, currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, have already qualified for the play-in. Despite being plagued by multiple injuries, the Hawks have won six of their last seven games entering this matchup, including two wins over the NBA-leading Boston Celtics.
The Warriors, currently in 10th place in the Western Conference, are clinging to the final play-in spot. Golden State has won five straight games all season, with the last win coming at home against Dallas.
injury
Mavs: Josh Green is out with a sprained right ankle. Derek Lively II withdraws (right knee sprain)
