From now until the November election, Mission Local will ask each District 3 candidate one question a week, and each candidate will receive a 100-word response. To help voters get a complete picture of the candidates' positions, we compile all the answers to the 40-odd questions on an “About the Candidates” page.

My campaign has received significant donations from Teamsters 350 and individual contributors. This grassroots support comes from people who share my vision for the future of District 3 and want to help my team spread that vision to fellow San Franciscans. My campaign priorities will foster meaningful connections with District 3 residents and create opportunities to listen to their ideas for the future of our community, while also meeting my priorities as the next superintendent candidate. The idea is to create a platform to clearly explain the

We are proud to run grassroots campaigns focused on people and do not accept donations from corporate PACs. More than 20% of his funds raised come from all corners of the 3rd District, and more than 70% of his donors are San Franciscans and apply for public funding. We carefully manage donations and are supported by volunteers. We only spend about 15% of the funds we raise, mostly on bilingual campaign materials and accounting fees. We will use these funds to advance grassroots campaigns that focus resources on bilingual field work.

We host small community gatherings of 30-40 people and come together to make authentic paella. This Valencian classic is celebrated for the way each ingredient helps the others to create a delicious, cohesive dish and its ability to bring people together, making it the perfect metaphor for our campaign. Here we discuss issues that are important to our neighbors and the district. Get your tickets at Navarro.vote and come join us. Once we have a quorum, we set aside a date, usually on a weekend, to celebrate paella. The response was great. As a grassroots movement, it has helped recruit volunteers, raise money, and foster community.

We are proud to have been the first candidate to receive public financing, which is a testament to the diverse coalition of our everyday supporters. We have received donations from over 500 individuals, 85% of whom are San Francisco residents.
Based on the latest submission data, our campaigns are:
- Most donors to San Francisco of all candidates
- Most donors to District 3 of all candidates

Our funding comes from a wide range of supporters united by our belief in our vision for San Francisco.
My professional colleagues from my 10 years in the private sector, my family and friends who believe that my deep love for this city will lead us to better days, and my family and friends at house parties and neighborhood gatherings. New friends and neighbors also generously supported our campaign.
