Every Wednesday on nITe Live on the Inside Texas Football YouTube channel, Justin Wells, Charlie Williams and Joe Cook discussed the recent On3 recruiting projection machine selections in favor of the Longhorns and provided an update on Steve Sarkisian’s top recruiting targets during the 44-minute livestream.

The hosts will discuss key dates, including summer workouts starting in about eight to 10 days, followed by an in-depth analysis of the top running backs in the class of 2026, including Javian Osborne, Tradarien Ball and KJ Edwards, and the impact they could have on the team, as well as touching on Raesin Guillory, the Longhorns’ only current 2026 commit.
Wells talks about RPM’s prediction that the Longhorns will land five-star Mandarin WR Jayme French from Jacksonville (Fla.), while Williams details why he thinks Texas will land Cedar Hill (Tex.) offensive linemen Jordan and Devin Coleman.
Then there’s the potential for a star-studded wide receiver corps that includes French, Kalik Lockett and D’Acolleen Moore, who Williams said reminds him of Odell Beckham Jr. The three talk about where this group ranks compared to other great wide receivers.
We will then discuss the importance of having recruits visit other schools and how it positively impacts their final decision. We will compare current efforts with past recruiting strategies, with an emphasis on the relationships built with recruits and their families.
Specific discussions of the recruiting of quarterbacks K.J. Lacy and Kieron Russell followed, with Williams emphasizing the importance of due diligence and careful selection by Texas, before answering questions about 2026 EDGE K.J. Ford, DB recruiting, Arch Manning’s impact on wide receiver recruiting and the college football landscape.
