retired NFL center Jason Kelce I put my Super Bowl ring in a contest on a recent live podcast recording, so it may have been lost forever.
Last week, Jason and his brother travis kelsey I went to their alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, to hear the episode. new heights. In addition to the surprise graduation ceremony, the brothers took advantage of being in front of a live audience to liven things up with a series of games.
One of them had contestants fishing out socks in a wading pool filled with chili peppers. Inside the sock was a replica of a Super Bowl ring. The game references the fact that Jason, who won Super Bowl LII with the Philadelphia Eagles, has an actual ring rolled up in his sock and hidden in his wardrobe.
Considering Jason clearly didn't value the ring, it's no surprise that he entered it into the contest. The only problem was that no one found it during or after the contest.
“This match exists because I keep losing my Super Bowl ring,” Jason said on Wednesday's episode. new heights“And I don't even know if Travis still knows this, but I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring at this event. They couldn't find it.”
When Jason brings up a photo of a man digging in a basement, Travis just shakes his head in disgust.

“This is Jake from the Jets and Brandon, our intern. The next day we were looking through the chili peppers trying to find a sock with a Super Bowl ring on it. We haven't found it yet. All of these things have been thrown away. So I think it's safe to assume that my Super Bowl ring is currently in a landfill somewhere in the tri-state area of Cincinnati. I never thought that would happen.”
Travis was stunned.
“What did you expect to happen?” he asked Jason. “You're such an idiot! Damn you, Jason!”
Jason said he has already filed an insurance claim in hopes of getting a replacement.
