Following the team's second straight win, the Sixer Sense Podcast is back. It may be small, but it's something. What can the players take away from these wins and apply to the rest of the regular season or until Joel Embiid returns?
Jonathan Geib and Lucas Johnson start by talking about the Sixers' win over the Charlotte Hornets. Philadelphia started late but had a strong second half to secure the victory in front of their home crowd. Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris combined for 64 points, with Harris seemingly answering the call to break out of his recent slump.
Expectations have eased for the next game on the road, against the hotly contested Dallas Mavericks. Still, Nick Nurse was able to work his second spell with a three-guard lineup and get up early and grab a very valuable road win. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic got points, but the Sixers held the rest of the Mavericks in check. Can the Sixers continue their winning ways to avoid the play-in tournament?
In other good news, Joel Embiid spoke to the media for the first time since knee surgery. The Sixers' big man has made it clear that he intends to return before the end of the season and will do so regardless of the team's standing in the Eastern Conference. This should be very happy news for Sixers fans. If Embiid were healthy, and this is a big assumption, how many teams in the Eastern Conference would take them on?
