Tranter, who was nominated for Songwriter of the Year in the non-classical category at the 2024 Grammy Awards for his work with Miley Cyrus, Renee Rapp, and Anad Morneskin, quickly announced that “Swan Dive” and its lyrics I was hooked on the self-help messages. It has continued to shape their tastes and songwriting process ever since.
“I vividly remember the first time I heard that song,” says the former Semi-Precious Weapons singer. “I directed her this variety show for AIDS relief in 1997, and I directed Ani's album. Expand They gave me this as a gift… They said, “I think you'll like this,'' and they were right. ”
