Kenneth was called to be with the Lord on May 19, 2024 in Fruitvale, Texas. He was born on April 15, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Kenneth Claude Black and Laura Ann Dodie Black.
Kenneth grew up in the Pleasant Grove section of Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in 1981. He married his one true love, Kelly Miskel, on November 2, 1984. The couple raised two sons and lived a wonderful life together for almost 40 years until his passing.
Kenneth was a longtime member of Harvest Bible Fellowship Church. When he wasn’t on the road watching the world through the windshield of his car, he enjoyed fishing, target practice with his gun, and raising hunting roosters. Kenneth loved to relax by watching gunsmoke and western movies, but his true joy was spending time with his family. He loved cooking fish for family and friends. Kenneth loved the Lord, he loved his family and friends, and he loved his life. Kenneth will be remembered in the hearts and fond memories of all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Claude Black and Laura Ann Black.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Kelly Black, sons Casey Black and wife Ellen, Collin Black, cherished granddaughter Paisley Marie Black, sisters Rhonda Cuevas and husband David, Dennis Day and husband Shelby, many nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
His final resting place will be Creagleville Cemetery in Van Zandt County, Texas.
