Kyrie Irving’s post about X goes viral after Dallas Mavericks win Game 1

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105 on Wednesday night to take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.

Kyrie Irving finished with 30 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one block on 12-of-23 field goals in 40 minutes.

Irving is in his second season with the Mavs.

They missed out on the NBA playoffs in 2023 but finished this year as the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 50-32 record.

So far, the Mavs have defeated the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder in the first two rounds.

Game 2 of the series will be played on Friday night (also at Target Center).

The winner of the series will advance to the NBA Finals to face either the Boston Celtics or the Indiana Pacers.

The Celtics won Game 1 133-128 (in overtime) to take a 1-0 lead over the Pacers.

They’re scheduled to play Game 2 in Boston on Thursday night.

In addition to the Mavs, Irving has also played for the Nets, Celtics and Cavs.
