Las Vegas Raiders new manager Antonio Pierce
“Well, I guess it goes back to your previous question. When we talk about penalties, we talk about turnovers, the style of play, how we change the way we play, execution, personnel groups, decision-making, everything. So at the end of the season, we're winners. The funny thing when people say you're going to be alone is you're not X's and O's. Well, how did I stay in the league this long? How do I get this opportunity? ?My job is not to call the X's and O's, that's why you hire coordinators, offense and defense. My job is to get the team in the best position to win games and hire the best talent. That's my role, and unless that changes, I'll be the coordinator, and we have a very good defensive coordinator right now in Patrick Graham. No one talks enough about what we did on defense this year and the buy-in. This was probably last year's group. We didn't buy into it, right? Las Vegas Raiders Transcript 1.8. Let's talk about the 24 part. And a lot of our young players on the defensive end, second-year players, rookies, undrafted players, playing very well and developing with a next-man-up mentality. You've seen them do that. That's credit. Same thing with Tom McMahon and what he was able to do against them. And you have to give Bo credit. [Hardegree]. Is it what we always wanted? No. Is everyone happy? No, I understand. But he tried things very hard and probably didn't have as much say as his previous coaching staff allowed him to. But he played against a rookie quarterback who was playing really, really good football at the end of the season. And that rookie quarterback had a winning record with us. ”
The NFL Draft will be held April 25-27, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the 13th overall pick.
