Serving over 75 million passengers in 2019, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the fourth-busiest airport in the U.S. With that many passengers, it’s no wonder that DFW has 18 lounges to keep travelers entertained.
Passengers flying with American Airlines are spoilt for choice, with an Admirals Club in 4 of the 5 terminals, and a recently opened Flagship Lounge for eligible passengers.
For information on accessing lounges worldwide, see our post on the best credit cards for getting into airport lounges.

Connecting Between Terminals for Lounge Access
DFW has a convenient Skylink train that serves all terminals, apart from Terminal E. Trains operate inside the secure area, so if you need to travel between terminals to visit a lounge, you can do so without needing to clear security. This of course excludes any passengers arriving at DFW on international flights or passengers that need to collect luggage in between a connection where exiting the secure area is necessary.
Terminal E is the only terminal that is not served by the Skylink train and passengers must ride a shuttle bus. Be sure to allow lots of time to connect if using the facilities or lounges in one of the other terminals before your flight.
Hot Tip: For information on navigating DFW, check out our article on how to get between terminals at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
Best Credit Cards To Access Priority Pass Lounges
With over 1,400 participating airport lounges worldwide (including 5 at DFW), a Priority Pass membership is one of the most valuable perks for frequent and semi-frequent travelers. Luckily there are several credit cards that come with a Priority Pass membership as a perk for holding the card.
One great card option is the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, which not only gets you into every Priority Pass lounge but also gets you a free meal at all Priority Pass restaurants. So cardholders visiting restaurants like Bobby Van’s Steakhouse at JFK or Trail Head BBQ Bar in Seattle will receive a $28 credit towards their bill, and $56 when dining with a guest.
Another stellar card option is the Amex Platinum card that grants you access to Priority Pass lounges upon enrollment, as well as Amex Centurion lounges, Plaza Premium lounges, Delta Sky Clubs (when flying Delta), and Escape Lounges
Interested in other card options that offer cardholders a Priority Pass membership? Each of these cards does just that and more!
Final Thoughts
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is an easy airport to get around. Just hop on the Skylink train and you’ll reach your next terminal in under 9 minutes (depending on which terminal you’re traveling to). If you’re looking to relax away from the sometimes chaotic communal areas of the airport, you’ll have lots of choices at DFW.
If you’re not eligible to use an airline lounge, there are a few options that you can pay to access. The Club at DFW accepts passengers from any airline with a standard entry fee, or you may prefer to game for an hour at Gameway or book a private suite at Minute Suites.
