HONOLULU (KHON2) – Podcast host Coralie Chunmatayoshi talks about dating scams and how to protect your family from hackers.
Anna Serre, author of Death, Sex & Money, says talking about lifestyle choices, career ambitions, housing priorities, and parenthood can help you understand each other's money habits and where you're stuck. It seems that you can get some insight.
“I know this all sounds heavy and unromantic, but on the podcast, I spoke to family law attorney Kathy Baggay about why these things are important in a divorce. This means that if your husband spends extravagantly and has large credit card debts, and you have little savings or spending, you will still be responsible for paying off his debts. That's because marriage is thought of as a partnership that deals with the good and the bad (and the ugly). Coralie Chun Matayoshi, director and producer, says:
Matayoshi says to be careful about what you post on social media. Organized crime syndicates in countries like South Africa and Nigeria can use your personal information to steal your identity, deepfake your photos, create fake profiles, and prey on your emotions.
“Google, Bing, Yahoo and others have no way of knowing when and where a photo was taken, who took it, where it is posted online, and whether the image has been digitally altered,” Matayoshi said. We have a reverse image search tool that can do it for you, and it takes less than 30 seconds.”
