Luka Doncic became the first NBA player to record six consecutive 30-point triple-doubles as the Dallas Mavericks pulled away in the second half to beat the Detroit Pistons 142-124 on Saturday night.
Doncic had 39 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds, surpassing Russell Westbrook's record of five straight 30-point triple-doubles. He also extended his record with his fifth consecutive 35-point triple-double.
Kyrie Irving added 21 points for Dallas, who had lost three in a row and won their second straight.
Cade Cunningham had 33 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, and Simone Fontequo added a career-high 27 points for the Pistons, who lost 10 of 12 games.
Celtics 117, Suns 107
PHOENIX (AP) — Jayson Tatum scored 29 points, Jaylen Brown added 27 points and NBA-leading Boston defeated Phoenix.
The Celtics entered the game on a rare two-game skid after dropping games to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets. After Saturday's win, Boston has yet to lose three straight games and improved to 49-14 overall.
Kevin Durant led the Suns with 45 points on 18-of-26 shooting for the Suns, who played without injured All-Star Devin Booker. Bradley Beal had 25 points and Jusuf Nurkic had 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Brown scored 18 points to give the Celtics a 62-50 halftime lead and they never trailed in the second half.
Spurs 126, Warriors 113
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Keldon Johnson had 22 points and 11 rebounds as a San Antonio team without Victor Wembaneyama defeated a Golden State team without Stephen Curry.
Jeremy Sochan and Malachi Branum each scored 20 points for San Antonio, which dropped seven of its nine points. Julien Champagnie had 17 points and seven rebounds.
Klay Thompson came off the bench to score 27 points, and Golden State dropped back-to-back games for the first time since the Kings vs. Lakers from Jan. 25-27, also at home at Chase Center.
Curry and Spurs rookie Wenbanyama both missed the game with right ankle injuries.
Nuggets 142, Jazz 121
DENVER (AP) — Nikola Jokic overcame a bruised right arm to avoid shootaround and had 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists as Denver defeated short-handed Utah.
Jamal Murray added 37 points and Michael Porter Jr. added 19 points for Denver, which led by as many as 39 points in the first half and helped them withstand a slowdown in the third quarter.
Keyontae George led Utah with 29 points, fueling the Jazz's third-quarter surge, elevating the Jazz's reputation and getting the sold-out crowd buzzing about the possibility of a historic collapse.
Hornets 110, Nets 99
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Miles Bridges had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Brandon Miller added 23 points and Charlotte dealt another blow to Brooklyn's faltering playoff hopes.
Nick Richards had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Basa Mic had 12 points and 10 assists for the Hornets (16-48), who ended their losing streak at six.
Cam Thomas returned from missing six games with an ankle injury and scored 31 points, but the Nets (25-39) fell 4 1/2 games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the 10th and final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference. I was able to make a difference. It was their third loss in four games.
Trail Blazers 125, Raptors 118, OT
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Deandre Ayton returned from a sprained right hand and scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to help the Trail Blazers beat the Raptors.
Dalano Banton added 25 points and Anfernee Simons added 23 points, ending Portland's losing streak at three points. The Blazers (18-45) were playing the second game of a back-to-back after losing 123-107 to the Houston Rockets on Friday night.
Immanuel Quickley scored 29 points and Gary Trent Jr. added 23 points for the Raptors, who have won just one of their last five games. Toronto (23-41) was coming off a 120-113 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.
Clippers 112, Bulls 102
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Paul George scored 22 points and Kawhi Leonard added 19 for Los Angeles, which won its third straight and fourth in six games.
James Harden recorded his second triple-double of the season with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Norman Powell came off the bench and scored 18 points, including two 3-pointers early in the fourth quarter, and the Clippers scored 11 straight points after trailing 85-83 after three games. He raised the ball to start the period. Ivica Zubac scored 10 of his 16 points in the third quarter as Los Angeles came back from an early 16-point deficit.
DeMar DeRozan had 24 points and 10 assists, but the Bulls' winning streak ended at three. Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and 11 rebounds.
