The Dallas Mavericks (41-29) head west to begin their road trip against the Utah Jazz (29-42) on Monday night. Dallas had three days off after Thursday night's win over Utah, so the hope is the team is well-rested and ready for the final push of the regular season. On Saturday night, the Jazz lost to the Rockets. Let's look at the important things.
- Who: Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz
- what: Achieved 4 consecutive wins
- where: Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah
- when: 8:00 PM CST
- how: Bally Sports Southwest
The injury report as of Monday afternoon lists Josh Green out and Maxi Kleber listed as questionable. I kind of expect Maxi to get the night off, if only because the Mavericks play the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. Kris Dunn is out for the Jazz, but Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson are available.
They have two important games against the Kings coming up on Tuesday and Friday, and this game against the Jazz is completely classified as a trap game. The Mavericks need to stay focused and aim to kill Utah early so their regular rotation can rest and heal for the Kings game.
Here at MMB, we've had most of the past few days off. Since we're primarily enthusiasts, we didn't cover Mavs Bowl (which seemed like a great time), but we're glad everyone had fun at a great team event. It will be interesting to see what our group of writers comes up with in the coming weeks as we move towards the play-ins and hopefully the NBA playoffs. Enjoy gaming coverage and podcasts. Thank you to everyone who took the time to play Mavs Moneyball. Have fun and go Mavs.
