New Miami Global Headquarters Opens
After years of planning and construction, MIAMI REALTORS® plans to open its new global headquarters later this year. I am a key member of the Miami Architectural Advisory Board and can tell you that many people, including our CEO Teresa King Kinney, have worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality.
Our new, modern, five-story building provides our members with cutting-edge technology, hosting major global conferences and events, conducting state-of-the-art member education and classes, and more.
Miami had been renting its headquarters for more than 20 years. And now, a headquarters building befitting our worldwide association has been completed. The new global headquarters is located at 1800 Oakwood Drive.
commercial resources
As a commercial practitioner, I can tell you that Miami's commercial resources are unmatched by Florida's largest commercial association and its own commercial MLS. Did you know?: Miami is responsible for 80% of its commercial MLS business in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Our award-winning advocacy team advances federal, state and local policy initiatives that strengthen the ability of South Floridians to own, buy and sell real estate. Miami travels to Tallahassee every year for Great American Realtor Days (held in January) and talks with lawmakers about legislation to support real estate in South Florida.
Advocacy victories include:
· Starting June 2024, sales tax on commercial leases will be significantly reduced from 5.5% to 2%. This change will save taxpayers approximately $1 billion annually.
Real estate is considered essential during the coronavirus pandemic, and solved a major problem when condominium associations tried to block real estate agents from accessing units and common areas to serve buyers and sellers. Did.
· New Miami-Dade HOA Database: After years of Miami REALTORS® advocating for greater transparency and accountability for South Floridians, Miami-Dade County Commissioners announced in March 2022 that condo, co-op, and homeowner Passed an ordinance requiring organizations to report on their finances and management.
