Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is one of the most controversial fighters on the UFC roster.
His championship reign pushed him even further into the spotlight. However, he himself admits that he is not confident in speaking on a microphone or on a podcast.
In October 2022, Strickland appeared on former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub's podcast. Brendan Schaub's Food Truck Diary, He then reflected on the now-deleted social media post. He said this would be the last podcast he would do for a while, as he needed to refrain from any extreme comments. He said:
“I just finished a podcast with Brendan Schaub. This may be the last one I do…I'm not stable enough to talk. After a while, I'm going to talk about Puppy Murder. I have begun to defend it. I have no further demands.” [h/t talkSPORT]
He continued in another post:
“I'm sorry, I hate podcasts. I hate podcasts because when I start talking, I get angry and my fucking filter drops and I make shitty statements that are taken out of shitty context.” [h/t talkSPORT]
Strickland targeted former UFC champion Ronda Rousey on Ellen DeGeneres' show, revealing that she had suicidal thoughts in the past.

Sean Strickland details his encounter with Machine Gun Kelly
Sean Strickland unleashed a rant against American rapper Machine Gun Kelly after an encounter at a Power Slap event last week. On his YouTube channel, Strickland delved into the details of how the two met by chance at an event. He was referring to comments he made about MGK's clothing and how the conflict escalated.
Strickland said:
“Dingo introduces me to vampires. [Machine Gun Kelly] And I tease him. It's like, “Hey, what are you wearing?” What the hell is going on here? How do you do it? ” He looked at me and didn’t laugh or chuckle, but looked at me like, “Why would this man with no respect talk to me like this?” He looked at me like I was less than human. I thought, “You know what?'' I'm going to humiliate you right now. Then my girly asshole got in the way and was like, 'Calm down,' and then I was escorted out. ”
