NACD North Texas Chapter, a leading advocate for corporate directorship, announced its newly elected officers and directors for the 2024-2025 term effective July 1.
NACD North Texas, a chapter of the 47-year-old National Association of Corporate Directors with more than 24,000 members nationwide, is a platform for Dallas-Fort Worth directors to share knowledge and address governance challenges. The chapter’s events and resources help members stay ahead of key issues such as cyber risk and CEO succession planning, the group said.
New Board Leadership Leads
The North Texas effort will be led by new board chair Renee Arrington, who currently serves as president and COO of Pearson Partners International, a nationally ranked retention search firm.
“NACD North Texas’ community of board members, members and sponsors is a group of outstanding business leaders,” Arrington said in a statement. “I am honored to be appointed chair of the NACD North Texas Board of Directors.”
The new president thanked outgoing president Ray Hemig for his leadership as the chapter grew its membership to more than 1,000. “I look forward to continuing this work and continuing to raise the bar for performance for the board and the chapter,” the new president said.
According to NACD, Arrington brings a wealth of experience from various board roles, including vice chairman of the Americas for the Pearson Partners and IIC Partners boards, and has been recognized by D CEO and Fort Worth Business Press as one of the most influential business leaders in North Texas.
