Lakeview Business District is a new seven-building, 1.8 million-square-foot, 165-acre business park on North Shore Rowlett, northeast of Dallas, scheduled to break ground in March.
Jackson Shaw, a national real estate development company headquartered in North Texas, announced the master-planned project on Tuesday. The company said it will be built in two phases along the George Bush Turnpike at Merritt Road and Liberty Grove Road in Rowlett.
“Lakeview is a prime location in the middle of one of the fastest growing counties in the nation, adjacent to Garland's workforce pool,” Jackson Shaw Vice President of Development Miles Terry said in a statement. said. “The combination of strong market fundamentals and product needs in the region means Lakeview is poised to become a major economic hub.”
Construction on the first phase of the project is scheduled to begin in March and will include five buildings totaling more than 1 million square feet of Class A industrial space with a mix of front/rear loading and cross-docking, Jackson Shaw said. It is said to be a feature.
The “state-of-the-art space” features a modern building design with “oversized glass entrances” and ample car and truck parking, while offering direct access to the President George Bush Turnpike and Interstate Highway It is also close to Highway 30, the company added. Building sizes will range from 88,000 square feet to 417,000 square feet.
Rowlett Mayor Blake Margolis said his city is excited about the economic development the business park could bring.

Compatriot Capital is an equity partner in the project, Jackson Shaw said. Peinado Construction was the general contractor, Pross Design Group was the architect, Hunt & Joiner was the structural engineer, Kimley Horn was the civil engineer, and Bank OZK and Affinius Capital LLC provided financing.
