FRISCO, TEXAS — The entire rookie draft class is beginning to settle into their new homes in the week following the NFL Draft, as the Cowboys and 31 other teams welcome their newest members.
The Cowboys selected OT Tyler Guyton, DE Marshawn Kneeland, IOL Cooper Beebe, LB Marist Liufau, CB Kaelen Carson, WR Ryan Flournoy, OT Nathan Thomas, and DT Justin Rodgers.
They weren't the only team in the NFC East with talent. Let's take a look at each of the competitors in the three divisions and the pieces they added over the weekend.
philadelphia eagles

The secondary was in desperate need of help after last season in Philadelphia, and they look to fix that with the acquisition of Cooper DeJean, a first-time cornerback drafted at No. 22 and one of the top versatile defensive backs. took a big step. Mitchell can anchor the outside, while Dejan can play anywhere in the defensive backfield, making each capable of starting on day one.
Next, they selected Jayrix Hunt, one of the most athletic pass rushers in the class. He converts to safety and uses his added weight and athleticism to wreak havoc on opposing backfields. He may not be ready for his NFL career right away, but his ceiling is extremely high whenever he takes the field.
Ainias Smith is another offensive weapon for Jalen Hurts and will also impact the return game, but Johnny Wilson's massive 6-foot-7 frame creates a red zone mismatch for opposing defenses. will cause it.

- 2(36): Jarzan Newton, DT, Illinois

No team had more top-100 selections than Dan Quinn's Washington Commanders, who used six selections in the first three rounds to ensure holes on both sides of the ball.
Jaden Daniels was selected with the No. 2 overall pick as the managers look to turn the reigning Heisman Trophy winner into the franchise quarterback they were looking for.
Florida native Jazan Newton is perhaps the most athletic Interior defensive lineman in the draft, as he has the potential to be a dangerous pass-rushing weapon for Quinn from the start. Mike Sainristil is likely being considered as a nickel corner for Quinn, similar to how he used fellow Michigan product Jordan Lewis in Dallas.
new york giants
- 1(6): Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
- 2(47): Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota
- 3(70): Andre Phillips, CB, Kentucky
- 4(107): Theo Johnson, TE, Penn State
- 5 (166): Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB, Purdue.
- 6(183): Darius Muasau, LB, UCLA
The addition of Malik Nabors will bring immediate firepower to the Giants' offense, as he will be the first LSU receiver New York took in the first round since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014. His downfield separation, run-after-catch ability, strong hands, body control and big-play ability will make him a candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024.
Steps were also taken to solidify holes in the secondary by projecting nickel corner Andrew Phillips and strong safety Tyler Nubin. Each brings solid coverage skills, and Nubin adds perhaps the biggest run-defense toolbag of any safety in the draft.
Theo Johnson and Tyron Tracy Jr. are slotted into two position groups, with Darren Waller expected to leave the team this offseason and join Saquon Barkley.
