NEWTON, Kan., April 25, 2024 (Globe Newswire) — Park Aerospace Corporation (NYSE-PKE) announced that its Board of Directors has selected Chris Goldner as Vice President of Finance. Mr. Park also announced that P. Matthew Farabaugh (“Matt”), the company's longtime executive vice president and chief financial officer, plans to retire at the end of May 2024. Matt joined the company in October 2007 and has been with the company to date. Matt has served as our CFO since April 2012. After his retirement, he agreed to work as a consultant for our company. Chris began working with his Park on March 4, 2024, and has spent the past two months working with Matt and his Park accounting staff to facilitate the transition. Following Matt's retirement, Chris will report to Brian Shore, our Chairman and CEO, and will serve as our Chief Financial Officer.
From 2021 to 2023, Chris served as Managing Director and Interim CFO of Spruce Power Holdings Corporation, a public company located in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to that, Chris held positions of increasing responsibility at Hasbro, Inc., a public company located in Boston, Massachusetts. From 2000 he lived in Pawtucket, Rhode Island until 2021. Chris' final position at Hasbro was Vice President of Financial Responsibility. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. Chris is a certified public accountant.
