Kerstin Maldonado and Ben Hausdorff say, “I think so!”
The Pentatonix singer, 31, and the videographer and director, 32, tied the knot on April 21 at Divine Grace Vineyards in McKinney, Texas.
“I think weddings are very special, because when will we all get together in the same room to celebrate?” [again]?All your favorite people are there,'' Maldonado tells PEOPLE at the special event, which included bandmates Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola and Matt Salley among the 175 guests.? talked about the day.
Although Hausdorff is not a member of the band, the two met while on tour with Pentatonix in 2018, and according to Maldonado, before they started dating, they simply “started off as friends and really got to know each other.” “It became like that.”
Six years later, their daughter Eliana, now 21 months old, was born and they officially became husband and wife.
“I think our relationship has finally caught up to where it is now, or I think our relationship has finally caught up to where it is now,” Hausdorff says with a laugh. “And I think there's something special about that. I'm just like, 'Yes, my wife!' And this is our life, this is our daughter and that's it. ”
Maldonado agreed, calling the ceremony an “official stamp” on what was previously there.
The couple had originally planned to have their wedding in California, but they wanted Maldonado's 97-year-old nana, who lives in their hometown, to attend, so they quickly changed the planning stage to a venue near Dallas, Texas. did.
“and [D’Vine Grace] There was a nice outdoor area. We have this beautiful stone patio where the reception will take place,” says Hausdorff. “So it all came together. We were like, 'This is it.' ”
The wedding party included seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen, all dressed in coordinated “midnight blue” attire.
Hausdorff wore a black tuxedo with a white vest and bow tie for a look that was “classic but different,” while Maldonado wore two dresses, both by designer Kim Casas. Ta.
The Grammy winner described her look as having “a Vivienne Westwood vibe” thanks to the use of a structured corset, while also having “beautiful lace and beautiful details.”
Cassas also created her daughter Eliana's flower girl costume.
“Her little dress has some elements of my dress, but in the end I bought her something a little more like a traditional flower girl dress for her to walk in. So it's going to be kind of cute, with cupcakes flowing down the aisle,'' Maldonado says.
When it came to food, it was important to the couple to incorporate their travel adventures, and they thought Menu was one of the best places to do that.
“We tried to add our favorite things and little tips to the journey and share them with everyone we love,” says Maldonado.
So while the three main dishes included a beef option, a fish option and a vegetable option, the couple added a personal touch to the meal by incorporating small nods to their special place.
“The beef has a seasoning called chimichurri, similar to what we've done on tour in Argentina and Brazil,” Hausdorff explains. “The salmon has Greek-style feta and orso, and that's where we went in 2018.”

In fact, just last year, the couple vacationed in Fiji. This was also a location we really wanted to honor on our wedding day.
“We had the best time. They were so great to Eliana. It's a really great resort and island,” Hausdorff says. “So we wanted to incorporate Fiji and there was this band. This trio are great singers with beautiful voices. They're really nice people. So we flew them out for cocktail hour. Masu.”
After dancing the night away at their reception (both a band and a DJ provided the soundtrack, followed by a fireworks display), the couple set off on a two-week honeymoon around the world.
They would start in Tahiti, then travel to the Amalfi Coast with a layover in Tokyo (which happened to be where Hausdorff had suggested it).
“This is one of our favorite places ever,” Maldonado says.
