A “special edition” of the official Xbox podcast will air on February 15th at 3pm ET and will feature appearances from Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, Matt Booty, and more. They will be sharing updates on his Xbox business, as Phil Spencer promised last week following active discussions about the future of the Xbox brand.
To clarify
Last week, a number of claims, rumors, and tidbits began to surface, primarily regarding Xbox exclusive games coming to competing platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. This set the internet on fire and caused some of his prolific Xbox backers to throw shade at his Microsoft and its gaming division.
Phil Spencer, head of Xbox at Microsoft, said on February 5th:
We hear you, and we hear you. We're planning a Business Update event next week and look forward to sharing more details about our vision for the future of Xbox. stay tuned.
Now it looks like business updates are being delivered, as Phil Spencer himself does Go to the official Xbox Podcast To find out what's going on. He will be joined by Sarah Bond, who was recently named president of Xbox, and Matt Booty, head of Xbox game studios.
