Jonathan Geib and Lucas Johnson are back on The Sixer Sense Podcast! The team has struggled lately, but there may be a silver lining heading into the postseason. Can the Sixers recover this season?
Starting with their most recent series of games, the Sixers suffered alarming losses to both the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies. Both of these teams are in the dredges of their respective conferences, so even an injury-plagued Philadelphia team should be able to pick up a win. It wasn't. Offensive production fell solely on the shoulders of Kelly Oubre Jr., and it wasn't enough.
When it comes to offense, the Sixers haven't had any of that lately. Nick Nurse tried to adjust the starting and bench rotations to no avail. Over the past six games, the Sixers are averaging 94 points per game. In today's leading scorer NBA, that's embarrassing. Needless to say, this team missed all games without Embiid and some without Maxey, but 94 points is still unacceptable. What changes should this team make to perform better offensively?
Kyle Lowry played a bigger role than many expected when the Sixers acquired him on the buyout market. Jonathan and Lucas discuss whether the Sixers can avoid the play-in tournament and enter the 6th seed with their current roster composition. What do you think?
