NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Podcasts have been used for leisure and entertainment for decades, but in recent years they have become a staple of media, education and pop culture.
Podcasts evolved in 2003 and have become a source of information on any topic from around the world. Instead of turning on the radio, listeners subscribed to their favorite podcast shows and started listening to Roundtable over and over again as new episodes were dropped in discussion format. setting.
A popular example of a podcast is Joe Rogan's podcast. Joe Rogan is known for hosting the show Fear Factor, commentating on UFC matches, and performing stand-up comedy. But now he is best known for his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. His podcast is number one on his Spotify and he recently signed a new $250 million deal with his media platform.
Another big announcement in the podcast world is an interview between former Fox News anchor and right-wing media personality Tucker Carlson and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The interview, which has not yet aired, is said to be streamed on “The Tucker Carlson Podcast,” and will be Putin's first interview with an American journalist since the beginning of the Ukraine war.
This is what mainstream media and news have evolved into. It allows people to speak freely and tell their personal aspects and stories, while also serving as a news outlet in a more alternative, open, discussion-based environment.
And that's exactly why KX News is launching its own podcast called “The Voice of the People.” It will be published on our website every Monday from 5pm. It's hosted by our very own Nicholas Quallich and debuts this Monday, February 12th.
In the first episode, we sit down with former Minot Mayor Sean Sipma and former North Dakota Congressman Rick Becker to discuss property taxes in the state.
And we want to answer your questions and hear your opinions. There is a pinned post at the top of our Facebook page where you can enter any questions, comments, or concerns you may have regarding North Dakota property taxes.
Then we'll answer all of these questions on the podcast. You can then log in and hear some questions answered on Monday, February 12th at 5pm.
