The search continues for the person who shot and killed 38-year-old Quentin Gerrington in Dallas.
The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the middle of Village Fair Drive near Big T Plaza in Oak Cliff.
Dashcam footage released by Dallas police shows a man walking in front of a white car.
“The video shows multiple people on the right side of the screen pointing handguns in his direction,” said Dallas Police Department Senior Public Information Officer Jesse Carr.
Carr said Gerrington was shot and killed while trying to stop the robbery.
“Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim intervened to protect the victim of aggravated robbery when she was shot by an unknown suspect,” Chief Carr said.
Mr. Gerrington died at the hospital.
Police said a 31-year-old woman who was not involved was also shot but survived.
Nearly a month after the slaying, police this week released a photo of the white car and the area just before Gerrington was shot in the hopes that someone would notice the people who pointed guns at Gerrington, a father of two who died trying to do the right thing. released a video.
