RinkWise Podcast: NEPSAC Championship Highlights
What stood out to you about the Men’s Elite 8 Championship?
Malinowski: “For me, I think I valued Cushing’s depth more than I valued KUA’s high-end talent. Where I was wrong, and where KUA was clearly right, is that KUA’s high-end talent I think it means they can win games. … Like, that top line carried them throughout the Elite 8, but especially in the last game. … I think that top line is just phenomenal.” I mean, I would say this was the best line of any team I've ever seen in the two years I've been preparing.”
What stood out to you about the Women’s Elite 8 Championship?
Donnelly: “My prediction was, 'If anyone can shut down Williston, it's Nobles.'” Nobles was the best team Williston played all season; I think they're the best team I've played against. …So, in that respect, I wasn't surprised. But I think what surprised me was that Nobles had four power plays to start the first period, denying Williston a chance to build momentum, rotate the line, and get into the game. , that was what I expected. Go back and forth a little more. ”
