Since the creation of the CFCS in 2014, the geopolitical landscape has rapidly evolved and finance has become an increasingly important aspect of global security. The group name change better reflects this evolution. While CFS will not lose sight of or reduce its involvement in the theme of financial crime, the name change to Center for Financial Security signals the extent to which the team complements its long track record with a similar focus on broader finance. and security issues such as sanctions and financial aspects of national threats.
Over the past decade, CFS has established itself as Europe's leading research program specializing in the intersection of finance and global security. His 10th anniversary celebration of this program will advance his CFS research agenda from 2024 onwards. CFS research is amplified through public events, social media activity, podcasts, media engagement, and video to achieve maximum reach and impact.
CFS will continue to provide pioneering insights into emerging threats, develop policy recommendations and analysis, and provide technical training across Europe. The group will predict what will happen in the next 10 years in its upcoming 'Future Of' series, with a particular focus on fraud, sanctions, AI, technology and the Financial Action Task Force.
