This week on the Scouting the Refs Podcast, longtime NHL referee Tom Kowal will be inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame, and the NHL Office of Player Safety will introduce Mats Zuccarello of the Minnesota Wild and Michael McCarron of the Nashville Predators. Calgary Flames defenseman Martin was suspended. Pospisil.
There were no calls or fines for Josh Manson of the Colorado Avalanche after he slashed Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks, or Matt Lempe of the New York Rangers for accusing Ilya Lyubushkin of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Additionally, the New Jersey Devils were given a penalty shot for Anaheim Ducks' Frank Vatrano intentionally missing the net, but Toronto media said the Maple Leafs should have been given a penalty shot against the New York Rangers. Thought. (I shouldn't have done that.) #RefsPodcast
