Good morning, Viva El Bados!
There are only a few weeks left until I finish my doctoral thesis. That's fun. Yes, it's kind of scary and exhausting. And it takes time. It is very time consuming.
So I'm taking a bit of a step back from writing here at Viva El Birdos. I hope it goes largely unnoticed! Adam is taking some of my Saturday slots. I'm still planning on writing a little bit on Wednesday. And I'm doing more podcasts, and a normal post takes him over an hour, but a podcast takes him about an hour.
In that vein, I was so excited to join Daniel Shopto at last night's Meet Me at the Musical!
Daniel (@C70 on Twitter (X)) is a long-time friend of all of us writers here at Viva El Birdos. He shared our post. He helped me start a podcast here. He has us on his show. He has helped the entire Blog His community stay connected to the Cardinals through events such as Blog His Day and Winter His Warm-Up Press Pass.
VEB may be the proverbial grandfather of Cardinals blogs, but Daniel will always be the father of blogs.
Last night, Daniel and I came up with a variety of topics, from Arenado's comments about the clubhouse to the juxtaposition of spring training and Lent. Definitely worth listening to on a gloomy Saturday in February.
Follow Daniel and Meet Me at Musial on your favorite podcast outlet. He regularly joins co-host Allen, and when Allen is away as HS baseball coach, we have great guests, including current and former VEB writers. He publishes every Friday.
Thank you for listening! Have a great Saturday, VEB. On Wednesdays, I'll write something like a regular article.
