According to the latest edition of the semi-annual Global Financial Center Index (GFCI), Singapore remains Asia's top financial center, beating Hong Kong by just one point.
Singapore and Hong Kong are in third and fourth place behind New York and London, but ahead of San Francisco, and there is no change in the world's top five in the 35th Semi-Annual Survey compared to the previous survey in September. Singapore will overtake Hong Kong as Asia's largest financial center in 2022.

“This suggests that there is no significant change in the economic outlook for the world's major economies,” the report said. “New York continues to have a clear lead over London, which ranks second in the index.Singapore and Hong Kong are ranked third and fourth with just one point difference.San Francisco is ranked 5th and 4th. He maintained his position.”
In Asia Pacific, the average viewership increase was 1.89%.
Respondents in Western Europe and North America rated centers in Asia Pacific higher than the global average.

“In general, people are more optimistic about the future of their center than those outside of that center,” the study says. “The people of Hong Kong and Singapore are most confident in the future competitiveness of their centres.”
The report uses a “factor ratings” model to rank financial centers, with two sets of ratings generated by a statistical model, one based on survey respondents and the other based on quantitative data. Using ratings. The two are combined to produce the final ranking.
The survey part is an online survey asking respondents in the financial sector to rate each center as a place to do business. Use a 10-point scale from very poor to excellent. The statistical model uses quantitative data about each financial center.
