The vocalist/guitarist gives an overview of 2000s indie rock, specifically 2000s music. Oc, influenced Slow Pulp's approach to sound. It's also Americana that influences their sound, and Massey explains how discovering Lucinda Williams' CD of hers moved their aural markers to more rootsy pastures. I'll talk about what I did. “I think there's this kind of bleak, dry feeling that we're trying to understand that's associated with a lot of Lucinda Williams' work,” she recalls. “We are all so inspired by her.”
