A 36-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of another man in Far North Dallas.
Antwan Stevenson was booked into the Dallas County Jail on suspicion of murder and one count of evading arrest or custody due to a prior conviction, according to jail records. His total bond is $1.525 million. It is unclear whether he has a lawyer.
Dallas police said Stevenson was killed a day after police found David Bullock, 53, shot inside a car in the parking lot of a Motel 6 in the 13100 block of North Central Expressway. arrested.
Brock was taken to a hospital, where he died. Officers wrote in his arrest warrant affidavit that Stevenson denied any involvement in the shooting.
Detectives viewed surveillance camera footage that showed a woman approaching Bullock’s car and talking to him before Stevenson approached the driver’s seat, according to the affidavit.
Police said the footage shows Stevenson attempting to hit Bullock through the driver’s side window, then brandishing a gun and saying,[d] According to the affidavit, Stevenson fired two shots into the open driver’s window. After the shooting, Stevenson left the scene before police arrived.
Before making the arrest, detectives interviewed witnesses from Stevenson’s apartment and retrieved evidence, including a handgun and clothing matching the description of the suspect wearing security footage, according to the affidavit.
