Texas Employment Forecast - Dallasfed.org

The Texas Employment Projection estimates employment growth for the calendar year and is calculated as the change in salaried employment over a 12-month period from December to December. This forecast is an average based on four models that incorporate U.S. GDP, the U.S. Leading Index, the Texas Leading Index, WTI oil prices, COVID-19 fixed effects, and the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations.

*The January 19th report is the latest information. The 2024 Texas Employment Forecast will be released on February 9, 2024, in conjunction with the 2024 Texas Economic Outlook event.
