The 282-acre Bosque Mountain Ranch (also known as Round Mountain Ranch) will soon be on the market.
CLIFTON, Texas — Texas isn’t really known for its mountains unless you travel quite far into the southwest.
The Hill Country is rich with rugged landscapes, and a new ranch property for sale between Dallas and Austin is perfect proof of that.
The 282-acre Bosque Mountain Ranch, also known as Round Mountain Ranch, is expected to hit the market soon, according to Icon Global, a Dallas-based brokerage that specializes in ranch sales.
Bosque Mountain Ranch is located about 10 minutes west of Clifton in Bosque County, about an hour and a half south of Dallas and two hours north of Austin.
Icon is touting the property as “the ideal opportunity for an incredible private family retreat,” featuring approximately 15,000 square feet of living and recreational space, including a 6,900-square-foot home, a 4,200-square-foot pool house, and 3,550 square feet of living and recreational space above the equestrian stables.
The main house features two master bedroom suites and two additional bedrooms, while the pool house has a game room, dance floor, full bar and two large bunk bedrooms with 16 double-sized bunk beds.
The ranch also has a “sports hut” for skeet shooting and a fishing hut.
The land is surrounded by large wooded hills, hence the ranch’s name: Bosque Mountain.
Icon has not yet announced the asking price, but the property was last assessed by Bosque County officials at more than $2.4 million, according to property tax records.
The Dallas Morning News reported that the property is owned by longtime Dallas real estate executive Randy Cooper.
