The Boston Celtics didn’t have to wait long to find out who they’ll face in the 2024 NBA Finals, as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-103 on Thursday night to close out their Western Conference Finals series in five games. The Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers in the conference finals to represent the East, and are now officially in the mix, having lost to Minnesota on Tuesday in a bid to win their first West Division title, but the Mavericks completed their role with a 4-1 win on Thursday.
Luka Doncic scored 36 points and the two teams linked together to help Dallas pull out a 124-103 win in Game 5.
