Scandalous lovers TJ Holmes and Amy Robach filmed their romance podcast on the road: the streets of New York City.
The former “GMA 3” anchor hosted his first live “Amy & TJ” podcast at Soho House on Thursday night, appearing to have a fireside chat in front of fans.
Sources involved in the conversation told Page Six that they felt like the small screen was missing. She said, “Amy opened her heart. [by] “They joked that she hadn't been in a room with bright lights for a year and a half,” the source said.
Their lives looked very different back then. They're married to ex-girlfriends Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig (both of whom, of course, are now in a committed relationship), and are the hosts of ABC News' “GMA 3,” a light-hearted daytime TV show. He was making millions of dollars. It all went to waste when they broke up their marriage and it was revealed that their relationship extended beyond the news desk.
Needless to say, as the couple so eloquently put it when they launched their podcast in December, this year has been “a year of hell.”
Holmes and Fiebig's daughter was in the room Thursday, and our sources say Holmes started crying about the kids and the divorce. “T.J. [also] “They felt like everyone hated them and Amy said she felt like Cersei from Game of Thrones,” the source said.
And every time Robach seemed uncomfortable, “TJ reached for her arm,” the source revealed.
Robach also spoke candidly about his past marriages, “comparing himself to Elizabeth Taylor after a failed marriage. TJ said he was halfway there and Amy said, 'Buckle up!'” The story concluded. (Of course, Taylor has been married eight times to seven different men).
Representatives for the couple did not comment by deadline.
