The first month of 2024 saw little change on the podcast sales front, as revealed in Triton Digital's January U.S. Podcast Ranker. Two of his NPR podcasts ranked in the top three most watched and downloaded series that month, and SiriusXM maintained steady sales.
The SiriusXM Podcast Network once again takes the top spot in January's Top Selling Networks report, with 38.1 million average weekly downloads and 12.1 million average weekly users. It was closely followed by NPR, with 27 million average weekly downloads and 7.3 million average weekly users, and Wondery, with 22.2 million average weekly downloads and 6.9 million average weekly users.
The most downloaded podcasts during this period are: NPR News Now (NPR) takes the top spot, followed by Audiochuck's crime addict and NPR's At first.
In January, the following new entries joined the ranks: doctor death (wonder), Reason for File: Operation Podcast (audio boom), and world situation From NPR It debuted based on both downloads and listeners. Additionally, National Park After Dark (Audioboom) and The Sports Junkies (Audacy Podcast Network) debut on download, and 1A (NPR) is available for listeners for the first time.
