DFW's job market is one of the best-performing in the country, and it's no wonder major organizations and companies are turning to North Texas for talent, said Dallas Workforce Czar Lynn McBee. Told.
“According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, we're third in terms of metropolitan markets year-over-year behind New York and Houston, so there's a lot of opportunity,” she says.
Job sectors currently hurting workers include healthcare, construction, hospitality, transportation logistics, and more.
“I think the unemployment rate right now is about 4%. So it might be a little bit higher, but there are so many job openings right now that I don't know if we could fill them all even if everyone was hired.” “Our economy is that way,” she said, “and that speaks to why people are moving out of California and different parts of the country.” Told.
