An iconic property in Uptown Dallas may soon be home to a towering new building.
Crescent Real Estate LLC plans to build a 30-story high-rise apartment building with approximately 215 units on the north end of The Crescent, according to public documents submitted for consideration at the Oak Lawn Commission's April 2 meeting. Proposed.
The Crescent Point Tower, planned at Cedar Springs Road and Maple Avenue, will replace the parking entrance, according to the documents. It will be across the street from 23Springs, an office development currently underway that is attracting several high-profile tenants.
Crescent Point Tower will be 415 feet tall. The developer is seeking to exceed the current maximum of 285 feet allowed.
In addition to housing, the building will also include several restaurant and retail spaces, as well as two new outdoor dining areas and a new landscaped parkway on Maple Avenue.
Documents say the design team includes Pelli (possibly referring to Pelli Clark & Partners) and OJB.
This comes a day after multiple media outlets reported that Crescent Real Estate will add a second office building to its Crescent Fort Worth mixed-use development.
Crescent at Uptown features 1.3 million square feet of hotel, retail, dining and office space on more than 10 acres. It is the center of leading financial companies and luxury stores.
This development opened in 1986. Retail tenants include fashion boutique Stanley Korshak and restaurant The Capital Grille.
The tower will further benefit Uptown's continued construction. Lincoln Property Company announced earlier this week that it will build approximately 400,000 to 500,000 square feet of office space, 250 luxury apartments and 200 hotel rooms or residences at 2500 Cedar Springs Road, just north of The Crescent. , announced plans to develop a 25,000 square foot mixed-use project.
