The Composite Two-Star Recruits Podcast is back!
The Cilantro Boys are back in action to discuss the start of spring training in 2024, specifically early enrollment freshmen and transfer additions. They also talk about the recent buzz surrounding the 2025 USC QB commit and five-star prospect. julian lewis.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Lewis is ranked No. 16 overall and No. 4 quarterback in the 2025 247Sports rankings. He is the No. 9 prospect and No. 2 quarterback in his 247Sports Composite. In 28 games with the varsity, Lewis completed 469 of 712 passes (65.8 percent) for 7,212 yards, 96 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
247 Sports Rating:
High-end quarterback prospect with the potential to be special. He first made a name for himself in the Georgia Youth Football League, then went on to become the Peach State's top freshman starter, posting a 14-1 record. It is comfortable to operate while on the move and allows you to perform a variety of high-level throws with relative ease. He possesses clean mechanics and his performances at multiple camps show he can tear through tight spiral after tight spiral. Usually he is not one to stick to his first reading and patiently makes his own progress even in the face of pressure. His mid-sized frame isn't ideal, but this past year he's added good weight and shown he can stay out of trouble while extending plays. He should be considered one of the top overall talents in the 2026 cycle, a signal that if he can cut down on his mistakes and continue to evolve, he can win games at the highest level of football. Should be considered a caller type. He was customized for modern spread offenses that want to increase the pace and constantly challenge defenses.
