Ever since she began her role as president of Utah State University, Elizabeth Cantwell has wanted to start a podcast. With the support and collaboration of her team at University Marketing and Communications, Utah Public Radio, and currently enrolled students, “Casting Utah's Future” is now available.
The purpose of the “Casting Utah's Future” podcast is perfectly connected to USU's mission to envision the future and empower all people to live successful lives of engagement, innovation, and impact. .
This podcast explores our ever-changing world, technological advancements, future plans, and active issues now and in the coming years.
Each month, episodes will be aired featuring a variety of guests, including University of Utah President Taylor Randall. Upcoming guests include Moral Courage founder Irshad Manji and his girlfriend Susan Madsen, director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project.
The first episode explores how USU and the university can serve Utah communities, deliver impactful research, and foster a sense of belonging while facing challenges affecting higher education. Two presidents talk about this.
Our collaboration with Utah Public Radio will expand the reach of the podcast and further raise public awareness of the impact of Utah research across the state.
