This week, VEB writers are back to provide perspective. The VEB Top 20 Prospects list ended Thursday with Travis Honey-MAN taking the final spot. Our minor league experts also joined in (not that minor leagues expect it) to comb through the list.
We provide a little breakdown of many leads, do a little grouping of leads, and see what we would have done differently if the list was entirely in our hands. Let's talk about deafness.
The consensus among writers is that this year's collection of Caridonals prospects is even deeper than last year's. There are players who have even fallen into the final teens and are off the list entirely, but they need to reach the majors in some role for some time. They have talent at the top that could make a big impact long-term.
