The Southlake Department of Public Safety has released surveillance video showing a possum stealing a package of Tiff treats from a porch in Texas on January 27, 2024.
SOUTHLAKE, Texas — A recently released video shows a furry creature being captured after stealing a package from a porch in North Texas.
Southlake Department of Public Safety I posted a thread on X The investigation details how a possum stole a package of Tiff's treats on January 27, 2024. The agency also attached surveillance video showing a possum crawling up from the right side of the screen and snatching a bag of cookies, leaving behind a blue balloon.
Police said the gifts were given to a 15-year-old boy and included balloons, cookies and icing.
“Dr. M's son was a little shocked the next morning when he saw a bag of Tiff's Treats icing and balloons, but no cookies,” the station posted in part to X. There was an empty bag of cookies in the side yard. They checked the cameras and found this!”
The department suggests that if you leave your luggage at your front door while you're out, ask a neighbor to help you to avoid being stolen by critters.
The Southlake Department of Public Safety also posted: “Those sharp creepy teeth are so cool.” “We love everything about them. *nervous laughter* This is obviously a cheeky little post, but I hope this inspires you to be more careful about making sure you bring your luggage in every day!”
