Beyond all repairs born from the beginning endless thread A 2018 episode about the Correia family and their youngest brother Shane. (If you haven't already, you can hear how Shane navigated his tumultuous childhood and homelessness to pursue a career as a lawyer.) In conversation with Sibertson, Shane shares the story of his sister Sophia. A pregnant young newlywed woman is put on trial for brutally murdering her mother-in-law. To this day, Sofia swears she didn't do that. But she never believed it.
In 2021, Sophia began sharing her story with Sivertson, who agreed to investigate the case, began requesting case files, reviewed trial footage, and spoke with numerous parties. I started doing it. Beyond all repairs That's what she discovered.
“Sofia is someone you want to believe in. She's very convincing,” Sivertson says. “But I always had to ask myself: Am I being manipulated? Who is really responsible for her life falling apart? Is it the justice system, her Is it someone in your family or Sofia herself?”
